Frequently Asked Questions

How often will I need to be seen?

How often will I need to be seen?

Follow-up frequency depends on where you are in your healing journey. If we’re making significant adjustments or you’re navigating heightened emotional or hormonal transitions, I typically recommend follow-ups every 2–4 weeks. If you’re engaging in psychotherapy or coaching, we may start with weekly sessions. For maintenance we may space sessions out to every 1–3 months—always in alignment with what feels clinically appropriate and genuinely supportive for you.

Do you prescribe medication?

Do you prescribe medication?

Absolutely. Medication can be a helpful intervention—but it’s not the only one, I tend to take a conservative approach when prescribing medication. We’ll talk through your symptoms, concerns, and goals to determine whether medication may be a good fit. We will also explore integrative options like supplements, therapy, hormone support, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions.

How does telepsychiatry work?

How does telepsychiatry work?

Virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and are similar in structure and depth to in-person visits—just with added convenience. All you need is a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable and can focus on our time together.

Do you offer in-person appointments?

Do you offer in-person appointments?

At this time, most appointments are offered via telepsychiatry to provide greater flexibility and access for patients residing in Florida. In-person sessions are available at my office located in Naples, Florida.

Do you take insurance?

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare. However, I provide superbills by request after each appointment, which you can access through your patient portal. These can be submitted to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

To check your coverage, please contact your insurance provider and ask:
– Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychiatric services?
– What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
– Do I need to meet an out-of-network deductible?

To simplify reimbursement, The Psychiatry Collective has partnered with Reimbursify to simply submit insurance claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement.
